中学2年生の頃、同級生らとのバンド活動をきっかけにドラムを始める。高校卒業後、名古屋スクールオブミュージック＆ダンス専門学校（旧：名古屋コミュニケーションアート専門学校）へ入学。在学中より、名古屋を中心にプロミュージシャンとしての活動を開始する。
在学中にギタリストKelly SIMONZ（ケリー・サイモン）との出会いが転機となり、大阪へ活動の範囲を広げる。その後、2011年にKelly SIMONZとともに上京する。
2012年、Kelly SIMONZ、ベーシストのTim Millerとともに「Kelly SIMONZ's BAD TRIBE」を結成。
2013年、NHK Eテレ『ムジカ・ピッコリーノ ～重く速く～』の回に、Kelly SIMONZ's BLIND FAITHのメンバーとして出演。
2014年、Kelly SIMONZのバンドプロジェクト「Kelly SIMONZ's BLIND FAITH」（ケリー・サイモンズ・ブラインド・フェイス）のメンバーとして、キングレコードのメタル専門レーベルNEXUSよりメジャーデビュー。
2014年、2015年、2017年に、同バンドで計3枚のアルバムをリリースする。
2014年には、楽器フェアのYAMAHA Drums／Zildjianブース・メインステージにバンドで出演。老舗ドラムスティックメーカーROHEMAより、自身初となるシグネチャーモデルスティックが完成する。
2017年、Kelly SIMONZ、弟でベーシストのHayataとともに、トリオバンド『The Exthunders』を結成。台湾遠征をはじめ、走行する列車内で演奏するライブイベント『メタルトレイン』や、駿河湾フェリーでの船上ライブなど、既存のライブハウスの枠にとらわれない活動を展開する。
2018年、老舗電子機器・音響機材メーカー「Alesis」（アレシス）社の電子ドラムの日本公式エンドーサーに選出。新製品のプレスリリースイベントにゲストドラマーとして出演し、演奏を披露する。
2019年、イングヴェイ・マルムスティーンのアルバム『Trilogy』（1986年）でヴォーカルを務めたマーク・ボールズと共演。
「トリロジー完全再現ライブ ジャパンツアー feat. Kelly SIMONZ」では、Kelly SIMONZ's BLIND FAITHのメンバーとしてサポートミュージシャンに抜擢され、日本全国6公演を行う。

2023年、Jien Takahashiによるプロジェクト「MAJUSTICE」（マジャスティス）のデビューアルバム『アンセストラル・リコール』がリリースされる。同作品には、ティモ・トルキ、マイク・ヴェセーラ、ユーリ・サンソン、Kelly SIMONZら、国内外の実力派ミュージシャンが参加。全6曲のドラムレコーディングを担当する。
2026年10月から11月にかけて、マーク・ボールズとKelly SIMONZによる公演「Mark Boals x Kelly SIMONZ - A NEW ERA」に出演予定。『Trilogy』のリリース40周年を記念した公演、新たなオリジナル楽曲を披露する公演、そして両公演の内容を融合した公演の計3公演が、東京・大阪にて開催される。
ロック、メタルを軸としながら、幅広いジャンルに対応する演奏力と、重厚なツーバスを駆使したパワー溢れるドラミングを持ち味としている。
現在もKelly SIMONZとの音楽活動を自身の重要な主軸としながら、俳優・モデルとして映像作品や広告などにも活動領域を広げている。
長年培ってきた音楽経験とステージ表現を生かし、「メタルドラマー俳優・伊吹陽介」として、音楽と演技の両分野を横断する独自の活動を続けている。

Yosuke Ibuki began playing the drums in his second year of junior high school, inspired by performing in a band with his classmates.
After graduating from high school, he enrolled at the Nagoya School of Music & Dance, formerly known as Nagoya Communication Arts. While still a student, he began his professional career as a musician, primarily performing in and around Nagoya.
During his time at the school, he met guitarist Kelly SIMONZ, which led him to expand his musical activities to Osaka. In 2011, he relocated to Tokyo together with Kelly SIMONZ.
In 2012, Yosuke formed Kelly SIMONZ's BAD TRIBE with Kelly SIMONZ and bassist Tim Miller.
In 2013, he appeared as a member of Kelly SIMONZ's BLIND FAITH on the NHK Educational TV program Musica Piccolino, in an episode titled “Heavy and Fast.”
In 2014, Yosuke made his major-label debut as a member of Kelly SIMONZ's BLIND FAITH, a band project led by Kelly SIMONZ, through NEXUS, King Records’ metal label.
The band released three albums in total, in 2014, 2015, and 2017.
Also in 2014, he performed with the band on the main stage of the YAMAHA Drums / Zildjian booth at the Musical Instruments Fair in Japan.
ROHEMA, one of the world’s long-established drumstick manufacturers, later released Yosuke’s first signature drumstick model.
In 2017, he formed the power trio The Exthunders with Kelly SIMONZ and his younger brother, bassist Hayata. The group expanded its activities beyond conventional live venues, performing internationally in Taiwan and taking part in distinctive events such as Metal Train, a live concert held aboard a moving train, and an onboard performance on the Suruga Bay Ferry.
In 2018, Ibuki was selected as an official Alesis electronic drum endorser in Japan. The renowned electronic musical instrument and audio equipment manufacturer. He also appeared as a guest drummer at a press launch event for the company’s new products.
In 2019, he performed with Mark Boals, the vocalist featured on Yngwie Malmsteen’s 1986 album Trilogy.
For the Trilogy Complete Reproduction Live Japan Tour feat. Kelly SIMONZ, the members of Kelly SIMONZ's BLIND FAITH were selected as the supporting musicians, completing a six-date tour across Japan.
In 2022, he adopted the stage name Yosuke Ibuki and began pursuing acting and modeling alongside his established career in music.
On March 22, 2023, MAJUSTICE, a project led by Jien Takahashi, released its debut album, Ancestral Recall.
The album featured accomplished musicians from Japan and overseas, including Timo Tolkki, Mike Vescera, Yuri Sanson, and Kelly SIMONZ. Yosuke performed and recorded the drums on all six tracks.
From October through November 2026, Yosuke is scheduled to perform in Mark Boals x Kelly SIMONZ - A NEW ERA.
The event will feature three distinct concert programs in Tokyo and Osaka: a performance commemorating the 40th anniversary of the release of Trilogy, a performance featuring new original material, and a third performance combining both concepts.
Rooted in rock and metal, Yosuke is known for his versatility across a wide range of musical genres, as well as his powerful drumming style driven by thunderous double-bass technique.
While continuing to place his musical activities with Kelly SIMONZ at the heart of his career, he is also expanding his presence as an actor and model through film, video productions, advertising, and other media.
Drawing upon his extensive musical background and years of stage experience, Yosuke Ibuki continues to pursue a distinctive career that bridges music and acting as a metal drummer and actor.
